The company was established in 1991 as a continuation of Dr. Eng. Marian Nickel's passion for construction and implementing innovations, which at that time were very timidly entering the Polish market. Thanks to persistence and bold decisions, interesting and modern projects were created, the architecture, quality of workmanship and ergonomics taken into account in interior design are still relevant today.
Achieving synergy in cooperation with clients, subcontractors and architects, and above all, success in implementing innovative projects was possible thanks to the consistency, reliability and quality that followed the NICKEL brand.

Since Michał Nickel took over as CEO of PTB Nickel in 2013, the company has undergone revolutionary changes. The business management model was changed, which resulted in the improvement of the qualifications of the management, technical and physical staff. The machinery park was modernized and new solutions were introduced to streamline the processes of cost estimation, bidding, design and implementation of investments. Today, combining these values with a modern business approach, PTB Nickel can offer its partners and clients a comprehensive, well-thought-out and optimized investment process.
Michał Nickel, a graduate of Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań and Western Sydney University, associated with the company throughout his life, gradually advanced from construction work to managing the marketing and sales department at Nickel Development. Eventually, he became a proxy and CEO of PTB Nickel. Outside of work, he is also a husband, father and a basketball, running and snowboarding enthusiast.

Our history
1991
PTB Nickel was founded by Dr. Eng. Marian Nickel. At the beginning of its operation, the company was a private family business employing only a few people.
Thanks to the contracts acquired at that time, it began to develop very quickly, investing in machinery, transport facilities and creating new job positions.
1992
Construction of the Serigraf Printing Plant (investment completed within 7 months) and subsequent contracts: Wielkopolski Bank Kredytowy, Aral Polska, Hochland Polska
1994 - 1999
Launching of own aluminum joinery plant.
Establishment of own design studio.
Implementation of investments for: APCON Itelligence, Novotel Malta - Accor Group, Mc Donald’s Polska, Kraft Foods Polska, BMW Smorawiński and others
2005
Start of construction of the first technology park in Poland, Nickel Technology Park Poznań - a place where science and business combine
2009
PTB Nickel receives the "Construction of the Year" award for the Octopus Water Park in Suchy Las - a modern sports and recreation facility
2010 - 2011
The company is awarded in the 20th Anniversary of Greater Poland Enterprises ranking, and Dr. Eng. Marian Nickel becomes the laureate of the Greater Poland Entrepreneur of the 20th Anniversary competition.
PTB Nickel begins construction of a modern bio-medical center BioNick and carries out an order for the largest European pharmaceutical company GlaxoSmithKline
2012
Change in the position of the President of the Management Board. The son of the previous President - Michał Nickel - takes over the reins.
At the same time, the implementation of the investment for the largest telecommunications operator in Wielkopolska - INEA Park - begins.
2014
Completion of construction of a modern Business Services Center, bringing together companies operating in the bio-med and IT industries and spaces friendly to business development by start-ups.
Implementation of another investment for Eureka Technology Park - a technologically advanced office facility with a conference center, spaces dedicated to companies from the IT industry and a TIER III data center.
2015
Completion of the largest Water Treatment Plant in the country in Mosina for the Poznań company Aquanet.
Entry into the hydrotechnical construction market, implementation of another investment "Sewage Treatment Plant in Kapuściska" for the Bydgoszcz Water Company Chemwik.
2016
The company is for the people who create it. We have started the process of changes towards Corporate Social Responsibility. We have created a running club for active employees, we have launched insurance packages and development programs.
We have expanded our cooperation with the local environment to support the basketball academy, which aims to develop children and youth in this sports discipline. We have signed a contract for 3 years, and within its framework the Nickel Basket Academy was created.
2018
We are expanding territorially. The first of the PTB Nickel branches outside of the city was established in 2018 in Szczecin. We are starting construction of two new investments there, one of them is the Osiedle Bocianie Gniazdo estate, whose investor is Horizon Real Estate, the other - the BMW Serwis hall for Dariusz and Dominika Bońkowski.
The Szczecin branch is being built by a strong team of our employees: Paweł Jarocki, Marta Biel, Mariusz Jażdżewski and Tomasz Szalewicz.
